The award-winning Kiwi winery of Yealands has been producing some brilliant wines in recent years but throw in to the mix that they are now certified carbon neutral; we have a seriously groovy property on our hands. Their Seaview Vineyard is, yes you guessed it, a coastal vineyard and the most coastal vineyard in the region which brings incredible complexity to their wines. Yes there’ll be plenty of fruit but the influence of the sea cannot be over looked with most of their wines having a superb linear edge running through the wine as well as the textbook minerality. Totally super Pinot Noir from a region that is much more than just Sauvignon Blanc.
So aromatic. Lovely French oak. Floral, spicy vanilla. Vibrant black fruits and cherry. Violet. Whiff of minerality.
Fabulous New World Pinot. Loads of dark and red fruits. Ripe plum. There’s that spice again, mixed in nicely with the violet. Great acidity and length. Classy drop!
