Fantastic producer, one of the jewels in the crown of the region. ‘Ripasso’ is the method of dried grapes (Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara) left over from Amarone production, through the vats holding the Valpolicella, giving the Ripasso a noticeably richer flavour than Valpol, but still retaining the freshness and not blowing your socks off, like Amarone (which we also love!)

"This Italian wine has a powerful and full aroma. It is clean, rich in ripe red and dark fruits, with blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry. In the mouth it is velvety and beautifully balanced, but also full and round with a lively and intense lingering finish.

Perfect with mushrooms and other rich umami flavours. Try with grilled and roasted meat and medium aged cheeses."
