Ok, so brace yourself. This is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. But don’t let those names put you off, a lot of these grapes are used in the production of Port and that hasn’t fared to badly now has it. This is the only thing that holds Portuguese wine back in our market; the lack of easily pronounceable varieties. But when you get your tongue round them they are truly fantastic grapes. Bags of bright, clean ripe red fruit, lovely subtle oak, tannins and acidity. Supreme with food or just on its own. Incidentally this is one of George’s favourite wineries so we’ll let him tell you about his groovy adventures.

 Nose: Ripe strawberries. Raspberry. Vanilla. Oak. Currants. Minerality.

Palate: Strawberries. Toasty vanilla. Plum. Chocolate. Creamy. Bramble.
