A three-man wine-making team who, to get themselves away from mischief and buy themselves some slack, called the winery M.A.N after their wives’ initials (Marie, Anette and Nicky). 20 years on they have gone from strength to strength - once producing just 300 cases a year and now exceeding 250,000.Yes, that is a lot of wine. But they have got to that point because they look after the land and are very good at what they do. We discovered their range through their gorgeous Pinotage, which is a best seller in our restaurants.Tonight we present a lovely and rich, but not too “in your face,” Chardonnay which, at least in our book, is virtually impossible to dislike.
Rich and complex. Apple, melon, citrus fruits and orchard fruits with butterscotch and vanilla.
Palate: Lemon, grapefruit and a hint of marmalade. Hint of vegetal and yeasty flavours. Lovely and bold yet also refreshing.
Very versatile if we are honest and will work with most light-medium dishes.
