Value for money is one of our wine mantras – and this Pinot Noir has it in spades. Nick has observed that Chilean wine gets a bad rep sometimes, but when a wine like this comes along it truly restores your faith in their production. This is a rich and warming Pinot Noir from a winery that has transformed this particular region of Chile. Leyda is 4km or so from the Pacific Ocean, and the vineyards are as near to perfect for the region as you are likely to find. Super drainage, cool sea breezes, altitude and sunshine. The winery itself is multi-award-winning and deserves all the plaudits coming its way.
