Humberto Canale, Intimo Blanco (Sauvignon/Semillon), Rio Negra, Patagonia, Argentina, 2019

When we think of Patagonia, we imagine mountain ranges, lakes, glaciers and fossils of dinosaurs - not necessarily wine. But all of that is about to change for you. Since 1909, Canale have been producing fabulous, elegant wines for you in these southern Argentinian foothills, making the most of what is a truly brilliant region to grow grapes. Not too cold, not too warm - amazing soil and drainage... It’s a pretty perfect place if you fancy being reincarnated as a bunch of grapes.

The Intimo Blanco is a blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon (which is also a classic Bordeaux Blanc blend). The blend is then fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain it’s freshness.
