Varied geology and poor soil make the Pouilly-Fuisse region of the Maconnais a bit of a minefield in terms of quality. But when you find a belter, like what we have here, you know you are on to winner. This is a proper wine. Family owned since the 1840s, Domaine Ferret produce this Chardonnay from a single-vineyard, from vines around 35-40 years old. Also, check out that packaging. Fabulous.
