Story: We are back in Italy. I really can't see anything wrong with that personally - and when you try this you will see why. Lambrusco gets a bad rep and with that so does a lot of sparkling red wine. In-fact if you head to Australia and South Africa, they actually fortify their sparkling reds with Port and it has taken their game to a whole new level. Apologies, I digress. Lambrusco...and great Lammy-B at that. But different to the usual stuff as this is a noticeably drier version. An incredible Aperitivo wine (as in pre-smash up) or superb with food. One of Nick's all-time favourite food and wine matching is a spicy Calabrian sausage called Nduja with sweeter Lambrusco, so let’s see what we get with this drier style. If you get the chance, you have to try that match.
Intense. Strawberries. Currants. Morello cherries.
All of the above. Sweet but with tannin dryness and acidity. Prickly yet smooth bubbles.
