The price includes 4 x 175ml glasses of fabulous wine from different parts of the winemaking world, some nibbles for the table and a face-to-face CALL MY BLUFF themed tasting experience hosted by sommelier Nick Fildes and Chop House Head Sommelier George Bergier.
Our first live wine tasting in the newly re-opened beer garden at Mr Thomas's Chop House was a hit. And by this date, if Boris's road map is still on course...you'll be able to have larger tables outside (up to 30 people)! And we can raise a proper toast to the future.
We will taste four different but equally superb wines from around the world. Our mouths are watering already…
And hosts George and Nick will be putting a Call My Bluff spin on proceedings. Who will you believe, the debonaire and world renowned George or his magnificent Manc protege?
Sit back, relax in our sun trap of a garden and listen to Nick and George teach and entertain.
Please note: Government COVID restrictions should permit tables of up to 30 outside by this point. However, this could be subject to change and as such we may need to contact you to tweak your booking.
Our Experts & Hosts
At the Chop Houses we are blessed with the expertise of Manchester's Top Sommelier Mr George Bergier and his protégé Mr Nick Fildes. As well as the city's best wine list. As recognised by our unprecedented 4 Wine Spectator Awards and The Guardian.
It seems a shame to keep that talent and quality locked away.
Our tastings give you the chance to sample beautiful, award-winning & rare wines, guided by George & Nick and their industry leading palates. The experience is intimate, fun and unique. You get the chance to engage with some incredible produce and some incredible talent.
This is not just some wine & some cheese.
Each wine is a truly beautiful example. From some of the world's most esteemed producers and regions. Variety is the spice of life, and this range of wines embodies this.
You will also be provided with some hand prepared nibbles for your table. This will be created by our chefs using fresh British produce.
