The Wonders Of Sicily - Wine Tasting at Sam's Chop House // Thursday June 9th ~ 6:30pm ~ £29.95pp

Ciao Ciao,

Sicily, the Mediterranean’s largest island and now one of the most important “up and coming” wine regions in Europe. “Up and coming?” I hear you cry…well, no, not quite. The inhabitants have been making wine here for 1000’s of years but it is really only the last 20 years or so where we have seen Sicily come on leaps and bounds with reinvestment with regards to viticulture. Seems a shame that such a fertile area had been forgotten about for so long but such is life…but thankfully winemakers and winery owners saw the potential.

And for this evening of informal wine chit-chat from our Nick Fildes we've got 4 wonderful examples of their grape varieties produced by some most excellent winemakers...we can taste the sunshine.

Venue: Sam's Chop House

Time: 6:30pm

Wines: Colomba Bianca 'Kore' Grillo 2020 // Colomba Bianca 'Lavi' Carricante // Al-Cantara 'O'Scuru O'Scuru' Etna 2018 // Santa Maria La Nave 'Calmarossa' Etna Rosso
