Tremendous example of a brilliant region. Sauvignon Blanc, but very much in an old world style. Delicate, yet lasting. Velvety, but grippy.
Gooseberry. Peach. Red apple. Flint. Aromatic.
All of the above. Stoney. Hint of honey. Great length.
What George says about this wine...
"A tremendous Sancerre. A truly beautiful wine with delicate ripe fruit aromas. The balance is wonderful. It has a round, velvety and silky structure, which ends with a crisp freshness. On the palate, the final note is long and elegant. A superb example of the Loire Valley's Sauvignon Blanc.
This wine is particulary appreciated with grilled fish and shellfish. But is also lovely with chicken dishes."
